Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF\u2122) innovation has been the focus of our business for over 30-years. Today, we not only produce these fibres, but also design and manufacture a wide range of technical, high performing superabsorbent materials \u2013 fabrics and yarns \u2013 that are all Powered by SAFology\u2122.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

SAF\u2122 shares similar chemistry to that of Super Absorbent Powder (SAP), but it is a fibre that is inherently super absorbent. It is this \u2013 plus the fact it can be blended easily with other synthetic and natural fibres \u2013 that makes SAF\u2122 so special.<\/span><\/p>

We continue to develop new absorbent technologies (superabsorbent fibres, fabrics, and yarns). Our team works closely with customers during every step of the development process, from initial enquiry\/brief to product delivery, to ensure our absorbent materials perform as required.\u00a0 Collaboration is key. We believe in firmly understanding a brief before commencing a new project. This allows us to engineer innovative absorbent solutions to meet the specific needs of our customers and their end-products. SAF\u2122 technology is now used globally by customers who operate in a diverse range of markets, including hygiene,\u00a0food packaging, medical,\u00a0construction, cable and filtration.<\/p>

SAF\u2122 is a highly technical, soft, staple fibre, that absorbs significant amounts quickly. In fact, it can take in up to two
hundred times its own weight in water, even under load!! It also provides excellent levels of containment and retention, which can be hugely beneficial in a wide range of applications.
