Yarns containing our fibres are already widely used within power and fibre optical cables as a level of protection against water ingress. We are now exploring the potential for its use as a self-healing insurance layer within geotextile applications, and developing a patent-pending fabric that self-heals in a similar manner to bentonite-based nonwoven clay liners.
